Greene Lumber Co. was founded at this location in 1989. In the beginning, we ran a single circle head rig with a Stennar resaw in the wooden structures that today are the break room and the tail end of the green chain.

Over the years we quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality hardwood lumber.

In 2005 the sawmill was acquired by Baillie Lumber and is now one of the few stand alone green sawmills in The Baillie Group. 

Over the years we have invested in many updates and improvements and are fortunate to have a team of dedicated hardwood lumber professionals committed to manufacturing some of the best lumber in the region!

Today we are a leading producer of many hardwood species including Hard Maple, Soft Maple, Cherry, Ash, Birch, Red Oak, White Oak, Hickory, Basswood, and Yellow Poplar.
